    Great for big guys

I was always a new balance customer until I found these. The Mizuno brand is so much lighter and the structural support feels so much better. I’m over 300 pounds with a size 15 foot so my shoe makes a big difference in my life 🙂 these won’t let you down.

    I was nervous to buy!

Nervous why you ask? Well I stuck with looking for informatinn on this sue because I wasnted a red shoe with white foam. Simple and classic. Now the nerious part. There is no information on any mizuno site about them. there are no reviews. no comparisons. Nada.. Best I can surmise they are made for Amazon only. But I did the leg work with the foam, upper, the running plate and even comared other "wave" shoes for profile. Now the good news. I'm 6' 250lbs man. the second i put them on they were comfortable. Easily as good as my Brooks Ghost 15's. So don't fret if you got no info to find. Been on my feet all day. Light and comfortable Oh and I am a diabetic as well with inserts fit fine. Recommended by an old Jarhead! SFMF's

Very Comfortable as as Turf/Coaching Sneaker

I coach high school and travel baseball, and I'm on my feet coaching every day. I have a few pairs of different turf shoes, and find these to be among the more comfortable brands I use. They seem durable thus far, and are comfortable while standing for longer periods of time. Although less popular these days vs New Balance, Nike and UA, Mizuno sneakers are a very solid option. Comfortable for wider feet and fit true to size.

    A (mostly) good first impression.

These may be keepers. First impressions of my pair lay out as follows: Very comfortable for a medium width foot with a long, lowish arch. Almost too loose in the heel, but using the heel lock (that extra lace hole) fixes that. The heel counter is among the best. And the heel collar is thick enough to feel supportive and secure, but not so thick as to feel confining or bulbous. The insole is of average quality; best to replace it with a serious insole. The tongue isn't gusseted, but it's wide enough to cover my instep and leave no sock showing. And there's a keeper loop on the tongue(s). The midsole has enough squish to ease joint pain from heel strikes, but not so squeezey as to feel like all the new mega-foam midsoles, the massive squishy foam density of which only serves to stress the metatarsal's and cause aching and pain, especially if you're a walker. The outsole leans toward cheap–1 to 1.5mm, and probably won't last over 100 miles.

Nice features include a vertical reflective stripe on the pull loop, and the trademark "Wave" insert that runs half the length of the midsole. To me, this version of the wave provides a quick three-prong sequence: landing stability, shock absorption, and minimal rebound.

About the wave plate: I think the application of the plate could be much better. On my pair its edges aren't sculpted to make it look like it disappears smoothly into the insole. In other words, it looks crudely applied. On the other hand, it feels effective. Whether it stays in place over the long haul, I can't say.

Solid Shoe! Mizuno is a classic staple in the running shoe space.

Solid Shoe! Mizuno is a classic staple in the running shoe space. Comfortable but yet durable. Performs well moving on multiple surfaces. Will be buying a second shoe.

    Comfortable and affordable

I stopped regularly wearing Mizuno about 8 years ago. Prices were high and the quality and comfort seemed to be dropping off. I thought I’d give them one more chance as these were very affordable. Also, ASICS keep discontinuing my favorite shoes, while making their new models as ugly as possible. No matter, I was so glad I took a chance on these. Bought these for coaching track, this spring. They have been fantastically comfortable, whether running, demonstrating, or just standing around at track meets. Absolutely worth purchasing!
