Need to wear heavier sock for ankle bone rub

I have never had a pair of court shoes before, but since I have begun playing pickle ball, I thought I should have a pair. I am a NB fan, so thought to try these first. Sometimes in NB I take a 9.5, but normally I am a size 9, so I ordered a size 9 and they fit perfectly with plenty of toe box room. I have a narrow foot and heel, so although the heel counter could feel snugger, with a heavier sock it is fine. I must admit that there was some ankle bone rubbing as these shoes are a higher profile, but with a heavier sock I didn't notice it all. Overall, I am tickled with these shoes, and the quality is excellent. The tongue is also nice and thin but does the trick nicely while staying in place.

    Pickleball Shoes

I use these shoes for pickleball!! I play about 3-5 times a week for few hours. They are so comfortable, has cushion, and lightweight. I have tried other brand (3 other brands), these are the best one. I love them because they are wide and don’t give me blisters. Must get if you play court sports!

I do not think this shoe was made at the newbalance factory

This is not a newbalance shoe, no label on the shoe, no logo inside the shoe, the box has no Newbalance label, no size tag in the shoe, on size or shoe stock number any where. they do not fit like all my other newbalance shoes. the ankel came up above my ankel bones. The shoe looked like a mens size. they felt like I was walking in a stiff box. I play tennis every day in newbalance shoes. this was the worst tennis shoe I ever tried on.

Way too tight in the forefoot

I had never owned a pair of New Balance before, but I hear that they are well made and the best for people with issues such as flat feet. And I needed a pair of court shoes. And the reviews for these were good. However, when they arrived and I tried them on, they were way too tight or narrow at the widest part of my foot. I don't have wide feet, and I have no problem with standard women's sizing in any other shoe brands. The length was fine. I think if you have very narrow feet, these might work for you. But for me, they would have been way too uncomfortable, so I have to return them.

    Runs large

I got wide and I’m normally a wide but these are a little too big

    NB

I searched for pickleball shoes and these came up. I have a wide foot and ordered a wide. These shoes are tight and if this is NB’s version of wide, it’s not enough. I’ve not had this with other shoes I’ve tried. I’m trying to break them in, but they aren’t comfortable at all.

    Great tennis shoes

High collars are painful initially, got a few blisters during first 2-3 sessions. But they are great after broken in. Best so far for wide feet. Lightweight, comfortable, roomy toe box, great for lateral movement and fast direction changes. Decent for ankle stability.
